I don't think anyone read guides in the entire party for that, other than having that one guy explain a couple of mechanics which most of the players honestly should've figured out on their own. I did extreme Shiva when I was still super super fresh and there was only 1 person in that raid that knew the fight at all, and learning it without min ilvl with 7 sprouts was actually a struggle, we died about 8 times before downing the boss. Min ilvl on current content would be bonkers, but my understanding is min ilvl on older content isn't as big of a deal with potency creep and every job being better than they used to be. It feels like you don't appreciate how much min-ilvl really puts the pressure on everybody to do their job. I think I was near the end of Heavensward when he started his first ff stream.īecause if you're comparing it to having a challenger player on your team in League of Legends (which would make a huge difference). Started playing before Asmon agreed to start playing because some friends wanted a healer for savage/ultimate content progging.

Genuine question, do you actually play FF14 (beyond having just started an account after Asmon started) Maybe that's different from how other people would feel but that's what I would like to watch. I personally would enjoy the stream more if I got to see him figure out the fights on his own, that's a lot more enjoyable than watching him be told everything from someone else. But I'm not going to say he did Thornmarch Extreme with complete beginners when he had Dom in there with him. Just as I wouldn't tell you what to do in your game.

It's obviously not my place to tell Asmon what he should or shouldn't do in game, that's up to him. Where the fuck is that idea coming from that a guy who just picked up the game has to do every content blind to "get an actual challenge" when basically nobody else is playing the game like that except the world prog groups.īecause he says he wants a challenge, but because he's a streamer he has dozens of legend players trying to queue with him? Do you think regular players get that kind of treatment when they go into extreme raids? Well guess what, 99% of savage and ultimate raiders only clear the fights after HC/World prog groups spoon feed them with youtube guides and diagrams. If he wanted an actual challenge like I said he wouldn't invite Dom when he's making incomplete only. I didn't move the goal posts, he just said he did something that really he didn't actually do. "Mad respect for queueing solo with completely random players" Let me queue up for a random game of league with a challenger player
